About Institute of Banking & Finance

Established in 1928 as a Company under Section 26 of the Indian Companies Act, 1913, Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF), formerly known as ‘The Indian Institute of Bankers (IIB)’, is a professional body of Banks, Financial Institutions, and their employees in India. With a total membership of over 10.8 lakhs, IIBF is the largest institution of its kind in the world and is working with a Mission “to develop professionally qualified and competent bankers and finance professionals primarily through a process of education, training, examination, consultancy/counselling and continuing professional development programs.

During its 96 years of service, IIBF has emerged as a premier institute in banking and finance education for those employed as well as seeking employment in the sector, aiming for professional excellence. Since inception, the Institute has educated numerous members and awarded several banking and finance qualifications, viz., JAIIB CAIIB, Diploma and Certificates covering diverse and contemporary subjects in the banking & finance domains, which have helped the banking & finance professionals to sustain their professionalism through continuing professional development programs.

About Banking Chanakya:

To commemorate it’s 90 years of dedicated service towards professional learning and skill development of the Bankers in India, IIBF had successfully introduced an Inter-Bank Quiz contest, aptly named as ‘Banking Chanakya’, in 2017.

Seeing the overwhelming response received from the Banking fraternity then, the Institute has decided to continue this endeavour as an annual event to promote the spirit of competitive learning amongst Bankers. This Quiz competition aims to provide an innovative, interactive platform to the Banking professionals to facilitate a copious flow of knowledge and ideas packed in exciting rounds. It is expected to help the participants to understand the need to go beyond the mundane and seek meaningful outlets that rekindle the spirit of positive competition.

With this objective in mind, the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance invites the Banking fraternity to participate in the 4th NATIONAL INTER-BANK QUIZ CONTEST “BANKING CHANAKYA -2024”commencing from 21st November 2024.
